I hope you remember why you started,
And always stay true to you,

I hope when success comes,
You do not forget to be humble,
And fill your heart with pride,

I hope when despair comes,
You do not lose hope and give up;
Thinking all is lost.

For who?
She asked,
As she stood gazing at the mirror;
Studying her curves;
Her imperfect perfections,
And the outfit she wore and the make up she had on;

This didn’t give her satisfaction anymore;
This last time,
They brought more questions than answers;
She wanted to know why…
