Last Night

Last Night

Last night,
As I held you in my arms,
Gazing into your beautiful brown eyes,
I couldn’t help but think how lucky I was;

I longed for more than the heat from your body,
As your hands locked in mine;
As we spoke late into the night,
Talking of a future we might never have;
